BauderBIT BU-VP

Solvent-based bituminous primer.

BauderBIT BU-VP is a solvent-based bituminous primer designed to improve the adhesion of bituminous membranes.

BauderBIT BU-VP is applied across the entire surface to the substrate using a roller, brush or spray. The substrate must be sufficiently dry and free from frost (minimum temperature of both the substrate and primer min. +5 °C). In addition, the substrate must be sufficiently firm, load-bearing and free from separating particles (dust, release agents or shuttering oils etc.).

Sharp edges and surface irregularities must be removed. Applying the primer in excessive quantities or under low ambient temperatures may lead to extended drying times.

Work must only continue after the primer has fully cured. In the case of highly absorbent substrates that have the ability to completely absorb the material and potentially draw it into the interior, it may only be applied in small quantities using a brush. Alternatively, it may be necessary to change the product and use a solvent-free emulsion (BauderBIT EM-VP).

Due to the solvent content, it is not intended for application in interior spaces or, for example, in construction pits.
