STN EN 1462

STN EN 1462 is an European standard which specifies requirements for eaves gutter brackets, which are used to fix roof gutter brackets. It is used to assess the strength, resistance and quality of brackets.

The standard contents

1. It determines strength classes of brackets – brackets are divided into two categories according to their load capacity:

• Class H – brackets with higher strength, suitable for areas with higher load (e.g. snow).
• Class L – brackets with lower strength, designed for areas with lower load.

2. The standard further defines test methods for verifying the load capacity and resistance of brackets.

3. It also requires the brackets to be corrosion resistant and made of materials that will ensure their long service life.
